Travel with your pet

Travel safely with your non-speaking friend.

You can now book your next flight without care since there is no need to leave the most beloved family member at home. We can transport small-sized animals, cats and dogs, of up to 6kg (including the cage or soft-sided carrier) in the cabin, and medium-sized pets up to 32kg (cage + animal) in the hold.

To travel with your pet you must ensure you comply with the European norms which state that the pet must:

  • have a microchip implanted under the skin
  • have a health document (in most cases included in the passport)
  • a passport issued by the veterinarian
  • an up-to-date rabies vaccine

In the cabin the pet must be transported in a IATA certified cage that doesn`t exceed the maximum dimensions of 45 x 30 x 23 cm so it can be placed under the seat in front of you. To avoid any discomfort to the other passengers we will assign a seat in the back of the cabin (on the last rows). You can transport one cage in the cabin. If you have two or more animals, you can take one in the cabin and the rest in the hold of the aircraft.

In case of medium sized animals transported in the hold the standard weight limit is 32 kg (animal +cage). If you exceed this weight, you will pay a surcharge of 60 EUR/60 GBP at the check-in desk.

It`s important to know that when travelling with a pet, regardless of size, the online check-in is restricted; you can only check-in at the airport, free of charge. For these formalities you need to be at the airport at least 90 minutes before departure.

For more details regarding the transport of pets please check Chapter 11.7 of our Travel Conditions   and for information on the fees associated please check our Fees and Tariff Rules section

Please carefully read this chapter as it contains important information regarding conditions and limitations of transport.
